Matcha Pancakes with Cacao Sauce

 
This one is great for the weekends when you have a little more time.  Still an easy recipe and one the entire family will love without knowing how great this is for them.  Wash this down with your favorite milk beverage.
                                                                                                                                                
1.  Cacao Sauce
  • Add 1/2 cup of cacao powder to a blender
  • Add 1 cup of maple syrup, 1 tbsp cacao butter/coconut butter to blender
  • Optional:  Add 1/4 cup almond/soy milk to make syrup thinner
  • Blend on low and slowly increase speed until smooth
2.  Pancake Mix
  • Put 1 cup plain flour, 1 tbsp matcha, and 2 tbsp ground chia seeds into a bowl
  • Whisk bowl until smooth
3.  Heat pan to medium heat
  • Pour about 1/3 cup of mix onto pan
  • Once air bubbles appear flip the pancake
  • Cook other side until golden
